Advocata finds and books doctor's appointments on your behalf. You tell us what you need; our automated calling assistant contacts offices in your area to learn who takes your insurance, who sees new patients, and who has the soonest openings; a person on our team reviews what was found; and we either send you your choices to pick from or, if you asked, book the best available appointment for you.
We are not a medical provider, insurer, or referral service, and we give no medical advice. We don't choose your doctor for medical reasons; we report what offices told us. Appointment availability changes constantly and is controlled by the office, not by us, so we can't guarantee that any particular doctor, date, or time will be available when we call to book. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
The fee is $20 per request. Stripe charges the $20 when you submit the request. Your insurance pays the doctor as it normally would; the Advocata fee is separate and is not a medical charge.
Advocata refunds the $20 on the day no appointment fits. Advocata also refunds the $20 on request at any time, for any reason: email hello@advocata.health or reply to any Advocata email, and the refund leaves the same day. Refunds reach a card statement in 5 to 10 business days. If you book one of the doctors Advocata emailed you without Advocata, the $20 stands. Cancelling or rescheduling the appointment itself is between you and the office; Advocata gives you the office's direct number.
Give us accurate information, especially your insurance details and the name on your card; offices book under them. Be reachable at the email and phone you provide. If an office insists on speaking with you directly, follow up when we tell you to; we can't complete those bookings for you.
How we handle your information is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
Our responsibility to you is limited to the fee you paid us for the request in question. We aren't responsible for what happens at the appointment, for an office's scheduling errors, or for costs your insurance doesn't cover. Nothing here limits rights that consumer protection law gives you and that can't be waived.
We may update these terms; the date above will change and, if the change affects an open request, we'll email you. Questions: hello@advocata.health.
